We don’t need more homes!
We understand that Lower Stondon has seen a lot of development over the years and we realise this can cause concern for residents with regard to existing facilities and infrastructure. At this stage all ideas are conceptual, and this consultation is a good opportunity for local people to make any concerns known so that we can work together proactively.
What about the golf club on the site?
Bloor Homes have owned the site since March 2022. The land is leased from Bloor Homes until October 2025. The clubhouse and some surrounding land are not included in the development proposals and remain in separate ownership.
What about protecting the existing green space?
While it may look green, the ecological benefits are limited. Golf clubs are ecologically sterile as a result of chemical maintenance – we are working with a team of ecologists and landscape architects to ascertain how any future development proposals can enhance the environmental benefits for both nature and the community to enjoy.
